Cleanroom Gateway Overview
The Cleanroom Gateway is a hands-on training program for individuals interested in reskilling into a career in semiconductor microfabrication. Through exposure to the cleanroom environment, tools, and practices, participants will demonstrate their preparedness for further training and hiring to technical managers and recruiters.
Exposure to equipment through the Cleanroom Gateway allows students to earn stackable micro-credentials from IEEE. Completion of the course enables students to place IEEE badges on their LinkedIn profiles or their resume.
Developed by the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), the Cleanroom Gateway program allows any cleanroom facility to reach students with no prior knowledge in semiconductors or microfabrication. You can find a complete handbook on how to run the Cleanroom Gateway at your institution here.
